I recently received this ice shaver and have found it to be very effective at producing fine ice shavings very quickly. It is fairly noisy, but given what it is doing I would expect that. It is a well built machine with only metal touching the ice, no plastic. The shaved ice comes out very quickly and at a high rate of speed, so some of it will miss the bowl that you are trying to catch it in. I found the bowl that comes with it not a good choice for catching the ice. It is too shallow, so I just use another deeper bowl. My 10 year old granddaughter had no trouble at all using this to make snow cones.

I would give this 10 stars if I could.

Very sturdy and makes both fine and coarse shaved ice, depending on how hard you press down. Really great buy and has been a crowd pleaser. My daughter wants to use it for a Sno-cone stand. I use it outside so the melted ice residue isn't a problem.

So far, so good, 1st day of using, it went through a 10 pound bag of ice with no problem.
The guy is in the shop. enjoyed it on a hot, humid day.

I ordered this snow cone machine for my nieces birthday party to make snow cones for the kids. It was a huge hit- we made about 25 snow cones in no time! The machine makes really fine shavings that create the perfect shaved ice- and you can use regular bagged ice which is super convenient. Highly recommend this machine as a great value for the price!

I had bought another version that produced a decent product but took a long time and required a lot of fussing, then never worked again.

This thing is a BEAST!!! It made a huge fluffy cloud of shaved ice in literal seconds with zero fuss!!! I am extremely happy with and highly recommend it.

I got this to make snow cone for my daughters school small business day and me and My daughter and her friends were very impressed! For the price if didn't expect the highest results. I just knew that turning a crank to shave ice would be unrealistic for 3 grades at her school. It crushed the ice in a second!!! So fast and strong! And it had a safety door/hinge that keeps fingers and hands from getting sliced off. Can't recommend this enough!

Works great! You have to twist the the little knot on the front for finer ice. If you don't you can't complain that it isn't snow fine ice because it was user error. The machine works beautifully. I have made snow cones daily since we got it because we've seen 90+ temps since May. I so recommend putting the button in reverse for just a second every little bit to keep it flowing nicely. When the lid ia opened to a certain height it also shuts odd to keep littles from reaching in and getting cut. I don't let my kids use it without supervision. Makes a ton very easily. Get the Hawaiian store brand syrups. They're way better than others.

best product i bought. had for 3 years and it gets threw 400-600 snowcones for our school evens. definitely want to buy another so we can have two for our school and sport events.

A large basin of crushed ice can be made in no time, suitable for a group of people to use.

It’s easy to use, the presets make sense, and the containers it comes with are solid for keeping snacks and batch-prepped meals organized. It’s not flashy, but it’s become one of those kitchen tools I reach for without thinking. Anything that keeps me from throwing money in the trash is a win.

Oh, one other thing - I’m using these to freeze snacks for road trips. It is helping me not spend so much when at rest stop. But it is also helping me create snack packs of my own that can be used during different parts of the trip.
